The Jewelry Box: Give a Hoot
I adore owls and when I spotted this one in a pile of vintage brooches while out thrifting a few weeks ago, I instantly fell in love with his big eyes and art deco look. I pinned him on to my cardigan at the last minuet and even Andy complimented the look! Note to self: vintage brooches are a great way to dress up otherwise simple looks.
Life has been super busy around these parts lately. It is strange, the busier and more overwhelming things seem to be, the more I seem to get done (does anyone else experience this phenomenon?). Poor Juice cut the bottom of her paw at the dog park last week Thursday and ended up needing stitches so things have been pretty low key around the house while she is healing. She has to wear the cone of shame when her humans aren't home ... which makes her look unbelievably sweet and super sad at the same time.
I am very much looking forward to this weekend ... lots of fun is on the horizon. Andy and I have plans to play cards with friends and I'll be scoping out one of my favorite flea markets! Hooray!

What a sweet little pin!
ReplyDeleteoh he is a swell score Cat! i bet he also produces a wonderful shadow if held at the right angle. love his art deco quality, great point. you're so right about pinning on a pretty vintage piece to something ordinarily somber, perks things up immediately and you look fantabulous!!
ReplyDeletei get you about the busy to done ratio too, i think it has to do with being actively participating in your own life and then it's just a matter of propulsion plus one thing leads to another. feels the best when it's actually working and the tick offs keep coming. glad that's happening for you lades!
awe Juice, i bet the Elizabethan look isn't something she looks forward to while you guys are out. we had to put one on Gizmo before and man alive what a show! she was backing up between our chair legs to try and escape from it. hilarious and sad all at the same time ; ) hope Juice heals up fast and doesn't have to go through wearing it much longer. perhaps a vintage pin would make her feel better too? ; )
sounds like your weekend plans are filled with fun inserts, yah!!!! hey and thanks for the recent RAD comments you left me. i always beam brighter when you stop by for a visit!! xo ♥
