Holiday Traditions

Every year my mom and I set aside a Saturday or Sunday in December and dedicated to Christmas cookie baking.  We make the same tried and true favorites (sour cream cutouts, peanut butter kiss cookies, dipped pretzels) and always add on a few new recipes to keep things interesting.  After we are done, we make up cookie boxes for everyone who has touched our lives over the past year (neighbors, friends, coworkers, mail men, UPS drivers, etc.).  It is in this spirit of giving, that the holiday season really starts for me each year.
