With October just around the corner, I can't help but start to feel a bit giddy about Halloween. Maybe it is just a virtual sugar high but there is just something about the Halloween holiday that I find so spooky and spectacular. Today's spooky inspiration? Werewolves.

Crazy Like a Cheetah

Now that my allergies are back under control (remember my battle with allergens last week?), I am back to my energetic self (virtual fist-pump). In fact, I am feeling a little wild and dangerous at the concept of being all couped-up inside today at work. Never-the-less, I love my job and I will just need to vent some of my wildness via a mood board. Grrrrr....

New Obsession - Fringe & Moccasins

While playing cards this past Sunday...my uber fashionable friend was showing me what she had just got for her birthday. In amongst her gifts were not one but two pairs of gorgeous Minnetonka Moccasins. As luck would have it...we were the same size so when she offered that I could try them on, I jumped at the chance. Instantly, my feet were in heaven (picture the comfort of chic looking slippers with a hard sole making them "outside" friendly). Having the patience of a fly, I promptly ordered myself a pair online first thing Monday morning. Suffice to say, they have been on my feet ever since.

Alergies 1, Cat 0

I have been having the most horrendous allergy attack for the past few days which now I believe is morphing into a lovely cold (please note sarcasm). As I type, I have Kleenex stuffed up my nose to combat the constant drip, drip, drip of which there seems to be no end in sight.

Guilty Pleasure - Candy Corn

Andy and I picked up the "Goldilocks" of candy corn the other day...not too stale and not too fresh but the perfect balance creamy texture and sweetness. Since both Andy and I have little self control, we have been on a glorious sugar high ever since.

The Bee

Weather in Wisconsin has been nothing short of blissful these past few days. Sunny, temps in the mid 70s, no humidity...in a word, perfection (thank you ma nature!). Andy and I have been trying soak it all in as winter will be here before we know it (gulp).

In a forever quest for awesome local pizza, last night Andy and I decide to test out a new pizza joint that recently opened near us. On the way home, I rolled my window down to enjoy the refreshing air (especially because of the hot pizza now on my lap). No sooner had I commented to Andy on how good it was to enjoy a cool, summer breeze against my arm then I felt a bug hit my hand and then proceed into my seat. Worried that it might have been a bee, I swiftly elevated my kester (while still balancing the pizza on my lap) and proceeded to panic. Sure enough, it was a bee! (I know, if you don't hurt them they won't hurt you...but it was a bee, crawling right on my behind you guys...yikes!). Andy, being the sweet gentleman he is, pulled over at the very first opportunity and I proceed to gingerly scoootch out of the car, leading the bee to his freedom. Crisis (or at least sting) averted.

I am not even allergic to bees but for some reason they freak me out. How about you?

p.s. The pizza was delicious. We will definitely go back (with the windows safely rolled up).

It's a Bird, It's a Plane...

it's a Paper Airplane!

This weekend Andy and I are planning a long weekend in Maine to visit some friends. I am hoping that we will see some Fall colors during the flight (aren't changing trees just the best?). We are staying at a friends cabin. I can't wait to gather around a campfire, make S'mores, and play Frisbee!

An Unlikely Pairing

I wouldn't have thought to pair gray and green together (they just seem like they would be a miss-matched couple). Then, the other day I saw a lovely girl wearing green chinos with pewter flats and I was instantly smitten.
